There are two ways to get rid of the dummy: you can do it cold turkey or gradually. Both are totally okay and will still work. I favour the ‘cold turkey’ method because it doesn’t prolong the process and a young baby forgets they ever had a dummy in a day or two.

If your baby is over 6 months it may be easier to do the gradual method. Either way, with some consistency you will get there in the end.
